I ride a freeride downhill bike right now and was thinking about getting a dirt jumper. I want to get the best one for under 1000 but I want it to be o.k for riding trails to get off the mountain. Thanks for your help.

If you want a squish, you're screwed.

I have a P.1 Cromo that I love. I abuse the **** out of it and it hasn't had any catastrophic failures. I bent the rear axle due to rider error..



I have a Pike, TX Quando front hub, Holzfeller cranks from warrantee, ODI Ruffian Lockons, Jack Shict pedals, and K Rads. I love it.


If you want something else, look for a used Kona Cowan or Scrap or something. It depends on what you want.
