I'm stem shopping and was on the Syntace site looking at their VRO system. Anybody have experience with them? The medium can go from 85-135mm. The perfect fit has got to be in there somewhere.

I've got a medium. To get the ideal position, you may have to remove the stem and bar, and reinstall the stem upside down. Otherwise, it's well-made, very stiff and a little on the expensive side. But it only takes 30 seconds for me to go from ~120mm stem length to 90mm, very nice.

Anyone who has cut their steerer too short should consider a Syntace stem, since it requires very little insertion; only one of the two bolts must be below the top of the steerer IIRC. And the stem clamp height itself is minimal.

You'd probably get more responses on the weight weenies forum.
