I had a great ride on Monday night at our local spot with my two best riding friends and a third riding bud. Trail conditions were dry and fast and it made for a nice night out on the trails. Good times.

Turn the page to Tuesday afternoon and we get hit with wicked thunderstorms, but luckily they passed through in time for another post-work ride on the same trails.

But man was it ever a different, and more challenging, experience Tuesday night compared to Monday. The rain made the roots and rocks slimy and slick and it made for one helluva good challenging ride.

Two different extremes, yet two great experiences out on the trail. And last night I was able to ride with a couple of guys I don't normally ride with. We also rode some trails in my local spot that I hadn't hit before.

Oh yeah, WTB Exiwolfs don't make for the greatest wet conditions tires.

Good times in the wet and the dry!

Yeah, every time I ride my 26" bike it reminds me how much I want a 29" Kenda Blue Groove Stick-E 2.35.
That's funny because the guy I rode with was on a Bullit with an air shock to lighten it up and he was running the Kendas with the Stick-E rubber and he was just climbing up the slick rock like nobody's business.
