Let me start by saying that the "weight weinnies" should stay away. These tires are not light!

Most of this review will be a BB GG 2.4fr/rr vs. DTC Nevgal 2.35 fr/rr. Both of which were monted on DT 4.1's.
Lets start with tire width. Eyeballing the 2 they both appear to be about the same width. If the BB were on a 5.1 I think that would provide a wider footprint, hench making it appear wider.

Though these tires are heavier they climb better and made cleaning uphill obsticals easier.

The downhill is definatly where the BB's shine. Just point and shoot. Turns were made quickly and precisely. I railed through the berrms with much more confidence. Braking waas also enhanced on the downs. They just dug into the trail and kept you glued to it.

All in all I'm very happy with the BB's. It is a good change from the Nev's which is use to think were the shiznit.

P.S.
There is one thing that bothers me about these tires. While riding sandy small gravley trail, they like to throw sand and small rocks everywhere. In my shoes, all over the bike, and thank god for good eye protection. Not a huge deal just somthing I noticed.

Anyhow any of you planning on stepping up your game and those who don't mind a little extra weight, GET SOME! HOGGIN AINT BAD WHEN ITS WITH BETTY!

How are they on flat high speed flowy turns. The kind you lean far into and sometimes get a two wheel drift going on. Most of what I ride is not bermed.

It seems like these are the new little black dress for the tire industry.

Would I be convinced to leave my WTB's?

I did hit some turns that were un bermed and they held. Did get the rear to slide just in the slightest on one of them. It was totaly controlled, and never thought the rear would wwash out.

The only WTB's I have rode are velociraptors and motoraptors. he BB definatly blow these away.

Heading to Crested Butte for the 4th and Can't wait to tear it up.
