Nothing...

I don't want my bike to have a weight complex.

I don't weigh my bike.

If I did, I would weigh myself on a home scale and then weigh myself again while holding my bike. I would then subtract the larger number from the smaller number and multiply by -1 and like magic, I would obtain my bike's weight.

I have a totally scientific method....

I pick it up with one hand -- if it feels heavy, then I need to think about lighter parts. Last time this happened was 2003. Just happened to coincide with receiving an $8000 inheritance from my mother's estate.

Why not the smaller one from the larger one?

Bathroom scales aren't exact btw.
Answer 1: Because then it wouldn't be "like magic".

Answer 2: Bathroom scales are exact enough when determining a delta based on the difference between a known x where x = my weight and x + v where v = bike weight.
