Anyone know the legal status of the SVHS MTB team training grounds off "the gulch"? Sheds water great when other trails are saturated but wasn't sure if it's off limits now.

Rode up Kennedy with the boss wife. Thanks to E for allowing us to ride together. Descending the high peaks is no joke but with much practice comes learning.

looks like there will be some changes to the 7-11 trail in the new year. there are survey flags crossing the trail after it drops off the ridge into the redwoods, and a crew was clearing a lot of wood for ?? right after the trail crosses Bay Hills.

The private property that the bulk of 7-11 routes through is currently listed on Zillow as a “pending sale,” presumably purchased as a housing development investment.

Getting housing built in Marin is a major slog, so it might take awhile for the trail to disappear. Or the new owner might get some legal advice on personal liability and fence the whole thing off.

+1 for Ft. Ord being glorious. Sand was great, weather was great, visibilty was great. My brother and I parked at Gigling at 9:00 with about a dozen other cars already there. When we returned a bit before noon everything was packed. Start early if you want to get a spot this weekend.
