Prepped the road bike. Felt good to ride skinnies today.

Same here. I'm convinced road riding is far more dangerous than riding technical singletrack though. It's far more comforting to have your life in your own hands on a MTB than at the mercy of strangers while on a road bike.

Sure. I’ve been hit 2x on my road bike. I’d rather be off road. But figured trails are still too soupy….looks like it didn’t deter a lot ppl today though.

The trails we rode.today in SC were great condition...climbs and transition trails were in great shape.. The sugary trail has a tree down at the end right before the water crossing. We cleared more down branches on the other side after crossing the creek. Climb up to stump and 15 turns was perfect. Lower pipeline to rocky camping trail was perfect.

What part about about staying off beloved trails so soon after a big rain do you not understand?

Because you stayed home. It was great to not have issue with parking and the particular trails we chose to ride were void of typical weekend traffic.. thanks

Skeggs was running nice this morning. There are some soft spots, and lots of downed branches, but the only spot I wouldn’t recommend is probably that fall line bit of Spring Board, after Blue Blossom, where there was a stream running down the trail.

I wouldn’t have ridden this soon after the rain, but the Trailforks reports from Saturday were promising and fairly accurate, so props to the trail reporter.

Sunday afternoon in Auburn was colder and a bit muddier than expected. Except for the odd puddle here and there, conditions were mostly dry, fast, grippy, and super fun.

On Saturday, I had an awesome first day of the season at Sugar Bowl. No crowds, lots of sunshine, and the snow coverage and quality were super duper.
