Quick ride yesterday close to home. Amazing weather, and everyone out was in super good spirits. DLRT is running great. Looks like temps will be close to the 60s throughout the week. I really hope winter arrives soon, but until it does I'll be happy to spend my free times out in the dirt.

Swapped out my rear tire yesterday evening and noticed a slight bulge in the aluminum rim. How bad is this? How quickly will I die if I ride this? Is it time to buy a new wheelset? Tire seems to be holding air just fine. It does seem quite minor, but with all the rocks in the area I wonder if this requires some attention. I plan on stopping by the LBS tomorrow, but if anyone has ideas in the meantime I'm all ears.

Budweiser presents Real American Hero. Today we solute you Mr. Solo Rider Shouldering Your Bike When No One Was Around. I was working a trail high up with a view of a stealth trail exit and I heard a rider coming in. I stopped to see if this rider would follow the rules of the game. I was so proud to not only see this solo rider walking out of said trail but also lifting his bike to prevent traces. Proud of you young man and all riders who follow these simple rules of engagement. I lift a glass to you and those like you.

Riding and building this weekend was pretty great...kinda hard to move today. Rain please.

Doesn’t look too bad. I always check the bead seat. If that is dented, time to replace.

I too got out for a few good ones, above Aptos Friday and all around the sands of Henry Cowell this morning.

Was over at Humble Sea grabbing a 4 pack and as I walk out some edgelord mtn biker rolled by yelling out to the full patio “ Hey Chad, save me a super foggy ipa and I’ll be right back!” as if to imply how cool he was and how lame the assembled patrons were? I will never understand that cool guy ****.

Not a lot of riding this month, for a variety of reasons, and it showed in my confidence today. Still, gorgeous around SC, and I had a great time riding Delaveaga for the first time. It was practically deserted midday. Dirt's in pretty good shape, in spite of the lack of rain lately.
