Nothing like a week off the bike to put things in perspective, the bruises are starting to fade so I think I can get out tomorrow for a soft pedal. Our time here is short so get out and make the most of it!

5 Nisene drops on some moist yet highly grippy dirt. What you kids call hero dirt. Pretty much perfection on all the descents. Probably do it again tomorrow instead of Moto. Giddyup.

Auburn is running really nice right now. Got a quick pedal this afternoon and was treated to tacky dirt all around.

Thankful: No snow and little mud up Road 06 for a run down Big Chief to Happy Face with the lass.

Was on my way out the door to ride yesterday and remembered that my brakes need a bleed. Crap. Instead of stopping and taking care of that I just opted to ride some XC miles where I wouldn't really need my brakes too much. Worked well enough. Sun was out, beautiful day, dirt was perfect, temps were in the mid/high 40s but with the sun out it was quite nice. Now I just need to remember to bleed my brakes.

If you took that photo around 1pm today then I'm off in the background on my gravel bike.

If anyone's reading this and thinking about a quick spin around that scenic loop in Martis Valley then skip it - too soft. If you need something mellow then visit Emigrant trail. Dirt there is perfect.

When I plan to get ice cream after a ride it gets me excited. If I knew I would get to eat this food after a ride, 10 minutes in I’d be like, “ok, is it time to head back for lunch yet?” Lol, looks amazing.

Yea, I was off piste most of the time, trying to avoid the mudbaths, which I was not really expecting. Under cover the trails were dry, but out in the Valley, yes, very muddy and soft. Elizabethtown up to the Martis Dam wasn't too bad.

Yes tired ... today not yessirday Tone. Full blast 27:15 to the Oak tree today on the Salsa. 1:16 faster than the Ripley once I made up the 21 seconds slower than Gears to the 5 minute hairpin.
