A little better all the time. Trail fairies have been busy and we have a little more rain in the forecast which couldn't be coming at a better time. Enjoy the bounty!

No pictures. A coupke of laps of Pacifica. Slick and my kid had a pretty good yard sale. I cleared some debris off XXX.

I was able to sneak out this afternoon for a ride I didn't expect today. Rincon was as near as deserted as I've ever seen it on a Saturday, and UC conditions were glorious. I was having my best run ever on any trail there when 1/3 of the way down I biffed someplace I've never had a fall before and landed on the ball of my hand perfectly on a rock. Couldn't put any weight on my hand after that, so had a pleasant walk in the woods back to my car.

Just wrapped a loop with the grom at Skeggs and it's saturated with fog drip, fine off the ridge but Sierra Morena should have been skipped. A dozen small downed trees everywhere,a few big ones, and gobs of branches everywhere. (left my silky in the car because the 7yo was getting cold and wanted to roll, whoops.) Trails are still in good shape, but they'll be in better shape if left alone while soggy.

Sounds like anyone who wants some redwood loam should head for UC (demo? nisene?) instead of ECDM.

Overcast skies, a bit of fog in areas of the park, and JMP was moist for sure but not bad enough you should stay away. Sunset was good and just spots on Bayview a bit soggy as usual. Stayed off Big Trees as that was probably soggy.

Cindy had some nice trail work done. Chaparral was slick and demands respect with some large braking bumps..
Browning and Down has a big tree down across it.

Sandy Ridge OR. Not great in the wet. Mostly flow trails with packed dirt that gets slick.

Oakridge OR. Lawler reminded me of a more pedaling downieville with more jank switchbacks. Some fun sections that were short lived. Eula ridge was sick. Proper trail.

Rouge River trail system. All machine built flow trails. Did a few laps because it was right off the road. Would not ride again.

Yesterday did a “Pirate Ride” up in Humboldt Co area. Great dirt, great people, and such a rad event.

Decided to try Monte Bello preserve this time. Route was White Oak Trail -> Skid Road Trail -> Stevens Creek Nature Trail -> Canyon Trail (road) -> last 1/4 mile uphill on Page Mill. (I don't recommend that last bit.) I don't remember having ridden White Oak before. That was fun! Lots of evidence of fallen branches cleaned up. Only a couple of small puddles, not much mud at all, and what there was could be avoided easily.
