Kicked the tub earlier in the week and think I might have broke my left pointer finger toe, lol. Oh well, I've been engaged in other activities to keep me busy. Hopefully will ride tomorrow though for the first time in a week!
Well I don't have a choice, since my FS frame is still in its shipping box waiting for parts. But even if it was built I still would have taken the HT too Tahoe. I had a conversation with a guy up there who seemed surprised to see one, but I felt like it was the perfect bike for what I rode. What is it with all these hardtails?!
For me, it was compatibility with kid seats and trailers. Next bike will be FS. This one will likely get turned into a full rigid single speed campground bikeWhat is it with all these hardtails?
My last trip to Tahoe I stayed at Kings Beach. I did the Marquette Flume one day and it was absolutely just fine on this bike. Alas, the sizzling decomposed granite. Just needed more cardiopulmonary. The next day I did a ride from the motel up to Old Brockaway, Tall Trees, Child's Play. Those are covered in sharp rocks and would have been a lot better on a FSWell I don't have a choice, since my FS frame is still in its shipping box waiting for parts. Was kidding. We rode the same ride last weekend and my son was grumbling it would have been more fun on the hardtail. Technically not a problem, but I don’t know that my legs and back could do that long with the chatter.Well I don't have a choice, since my FS frame is still in its shipping box waiting for parts. Peets was my favorite. Then I bought a nice espresso machine and two good grinders (one for the morning, one for decaf at night). Now my wife and I roll in the luxury of Mochas every morning and after dinner espresso drinks. Works out to about $1.50 a drink, which lets us enjoy our favorite luxury while saving money over time (at least once you recoup the initial $3,500 equipment cost).Great pics and stories guys! The usual stuff for me and LG Man with some extra hard effort today for a change. I may have broken a toe like Roughster ... a small toe on the left foot kicking an Inversion table. Loads of runs and rides with friends this last week. Chowmein and Peet's today. View attachment 1952822
