It's so sad, so dissapointing. He definitely very wrongly focused on the very near term, when it was obvious he's gonna be caught. Man, he was so stupid! I was following his career very closely and wishing him his Olimpic gold.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. If it's true he took EPO six weeks ago, then his previous wins and runner-ups were showing his true form. But, he NEEDED to win so badly he took the wrong way. That shows he's not a true sportsman. Very sad.

I guess that wouldn't explain his high hematocrit levels a few years ago then- from back before they had a valid test for EPO. High hematocrit levels don't ALWAYS mean EPO use. They can also come from living at extremely high altitudes, of which Belgium has so much of.

He's guilty from way back.

I am sure that you have never sold anything for cash and pocketed the money without declaring it on your taxes. Or did not charge the necessary sales tax. It seems like everytime I click on Velonews, there is another rider busted. The only reason I can think of for these athletes to continue using is because everyone else is still using so they have to in order to stay competitive-why else would they risk it when they know they will be tested and possibly caught?-its very sad. Assuming our pro MB'ers are clean, is this why we can't place in the top 10 in WC events?

You are right....What would happen if everyone cheated on their taxes..
NO, the proper way to handle your taxes......is to hire lobbyists......and give $5,000 to every member of the Ways and Means Committee.......
Then they'll change the tax code......and that paltry $50,000 to $100,000 you paid to the Congressmen......will then save you $5,000,000 to $10,000,000......and it will all be "legal"

Yes, thats the American way........bribe.....uh er.....donate to the good congressmen and get your tax cut legally..... And it is NOT cheating........Its all in the LAW.....if ya got enough money to grease a few palms......
