Just a quick shout out to this product as it's fantastic.

I'm a guy that lubes my clipless pedal springs. It keeps the exit and entry consistent. I prefer to use a product with a lot of solvent in it as it cleans them simultaneously. Up until very recently I have not found anything better than just regular old WD-40 for this task.

Needing a refill I bought the WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube on a whim to try (I get it for free). Wow does it ever work well. Still very high in solvent so the cleaning factor is there. However it dries bone dry as in nothing sticks to it whatsoever. Furthermore, or maybe as a result, it lasts a loooong time in my cleat springs and they remain much cleaner.

Great product, works as advertised.

Cool, do you know if it is different compared to other dry lubes?
I could probably compare it to some other dry lubes if you named one specifically?
I've not trifled with dry lubes in a while because typically they never fully dry out so you end up with a compromise. This stuff dries out completely like you can't even tell there's lube on it dry.

I am using this stuff and it dries bone dry. View attachment 1940106
Oh yeah I've definitely used that on door hinges and stuff in the past. Hard to say without back-to-back usage but I would gather the PTFE is a much much smaller molecule than graphite and therefore would penetrate and cling better. That's really just an assumption on my part though.

Haha, I was about to say it works great on door hinges.

I was chasing a noise on my bike and I sprayed it on the seat rails without disassembling it first and when I later had to take it apart anyway the rails were covered all the way.

Overspray made for a nice splatter paint job on my tennis ball colored frame. 🤪
