Hi all,

I want to invite anyone in the Walnut Creek area to join a few of us locals to work on the street skills tomorrow, Wed. 06/28 around 7 pm. Short notice, yes, but I think of it as a good way to work off the Taco Tuesday from the Cantina : )

All you need is to drop your seatpost and you're good to go!

Thanks for checking out my post : )

There's urban in WC?

most of the terrain there seemed kinda tame... and the cops there have nothing better to do than herass bikers/skaters, and drink their mocha frapachinos.

Technically, it's more sub-urban ; )
It seems like the same WC locals for urban rides, so I'm hoping to draw some new people from other web communities. We hooked up w/ 6 mtbers and rode DVC. That was fun. We're planning on meeting up at Civic Park at 7 pm. At the end of the July, we plan on organizing an SF street ride. I'll post that one for sure...

Screw that - let's go shuttle one of the local mountains! Drive up before sunset - pound a beer and ride down in the dark with a good buzz on to help you bounce off the manzanita.

Who's down?!?!?

We ride urban on the peninsula too. It depends. It's been strictly trials lately (hooray), but a lot of times its a bunch of different people / abilities / bikes which is cool too

I will look for your SF urban ride, I'm down with that, although my bike has no seat.. I guess that means we'll have to find some barstools along the way.

We had 1 flakers and two no-go's. What could've been a group of 5 ending up being two. 24 hour notice doesn't give enough people time to ride. A pinch flat ended the day early.

The last ride I gathered was on the DVC campus last Fall and there were 6 of us there:

That was on a Friday evening.

Perhaps two Wednesdays ahead... I'll get some heads together, and maybe I can get 4-5 locals to commit to a session.

I'll post up.

Screw that. I live 5 minutes from Civic park - but I'd rather drive 1/2 hour and go do a shuttle somewhere.

How 'bout it??

Rich - you give me a couple of days next time and do DVC and I'll show. I just finished rebuilding my Goldrush and they're almost done with that new building. Civic is OK but DVC is easier for me, especially after work.

Next Wed., July 12th. ~7 ish. Parking garage races! If you're in the area and want to ride, we'll see ya downtown. 1 more WC session, then we should hit up DVC.

Sorry Rich, not going to be able to make it next week. To much summer family stuff going on. Hopefully, I'll make it over to DVC on the next one.
