I just saw on letterman a guy who does ultra marathons...only even more.
Dean Karnazes just finished a 262 mile race, he ran for three days (75 hrs)straight...holy sh**! here i was thinking my 6 hr "epic" i went on last summer was a lot...

I've heard about this guy. He's promoting a book called "The All-Night Runner" or something.

Says he decided one night, after leaving a bar, that he was sick of his lazy lifestyle....and went for a 30-mile run! Something like that.

Heard him say in an interview that he can doze off for a few minutes while running, order pizza and eat on the run, and of course pee!

It's not as uncommon as you might think> I was out for a ride last week on a local bike/hiking trail and ended up riding with a guy who is training for an 100 mile run.

In 2004, I finished the 52.5mile 11,500' So-Cal mountain bike event called the Vision Quest in 9:23 on my singlespeed.
7 minutes behind me was a socal legend, Calvin, who finished in 9:30....on foot....
I wanted to quit riding that day.....
