The road didn't look muddy.....but it was. Especially when the sun came out. Finally got to the trail head and the snow was 6-10" deep. Only saw one other bike track in the snow. The snow was very soft and slippery. I couldn't make a go of it on the Pugsley, so I would recommend crossing Waterton off your list. The trails around Chatfield were ice/snow packed if you are jonesin to get out there. Just go early.

Nice pics, was the river open or iced up? Thanks.
1/2 Ice, 1/2 water. Some sections were frozen and others (the rockier faster areas) where still open. A couple people were fishing.
