Six years of 24 hour racing, now I am getting into longer stuff- check link below.
There is a lot of riding near me but I prefer all day mountain rides- singletrack, forest service roads- it doesn't matter.
I want to explore the Kettle Crest Trail this summer.

I like all types of riding. My favorite kind of trail is singeltrack, technical or not, dosnt really matter as long as it flows good. I plan on takeing a day of leave soon and going to Capitol Forest and see what its like.

Active trail builder in Port Townsend. I got here on a two year bike tour from the UK, ten years ago.
I love steep trails, log rides etc, but mostly ride tech. XC
I race Sport occationally. I ride a 2005 Dawg Dee-lux & an old Hei Hei.

Favorate Trails:

Local- Gibbs Lake
Not quite local- Dry Hills
Next State- I loved a shuttle ride I did in Ashland OR , a few years ago.
Other- UPS To Pocupine Rim, UT
Abroad- Rotorua, NZ ( was my first official trail ride, I had scabs on my face for weeks!)

Dreams- Get up to Whistler, Fruita, Mt Saint Helens, race a 24 hour and a Super D or two

And I turn 40 next week.

I like techie XC, logs, rocks, and rides with vast vistas or waterfalls
going to Sedona this spring, looks like a spectacular area. have done lots of Moab, would recommend Moab to everyone, especially Bartlett Wash/Tusher Canyon.
Love the trails up by Mt St Helens, especially the lesser known/ridden ones.
Would like ride more of the Olympic Peninsula.

Generally ride SS or fixed, tho just put a Rohloff hub on the Vulture frame, very nice.

Technical Cross Country (seems to be the favorite buzz word). I would really like to start racing/riding some endurance distance races, 50 and 100 milers. I used to race Sport XC now I race at the track (velodrome). Coming off a year and a half on the couch from a nasty broken tib-fib.

There are so many trails in WA that I have yet to ride! Teanaway, Triple Crown, anything in Capital Forest...

Greg from Bainbridge Island. Its all new to me so looking forward to some exploration. Been to Green Mt. but don't want to go back because of all the car breakins I hear about. Hit the Poulsbo managed area when I can. Looking forward to a few events and maybe some races as a way to find/check out new places. Looks like I need a good MTB photo. Did recently get a new ride, Stumpjumper FSR Elite, which is a real back saver over my old hardtail SJ but a little on the heavy side.

Cross country and Fireroads, something with good views. I don't know how technical I need it as I'm just getting started back to riding after a break. I want to the Dungeness/Gold Creek when it warms up a little.

I love to run in the woods with you bikers, so silly with your machines.
I like trails with jumps because I like to take naps in the dirt holes that builders leave behind. I like beer and chipmunks too.

Anyone riding Thursdat night anymore? Brian had to take a hiadas from the Thursday night ride - where did you guys (EBX, Skook, milly) go to - Toluk?

Eric (although most people call me EB) from Seattle

Favorite Riding: Tech XC and FR.

Would like to get more proficient in dirt jumping.

Local rides to hit this year: St. Helens stuff, North Cascades rides....More high alpine stuff.

Next roadtrip: Rossland / Nelson in June, Blackrock/Post Canyon weekend in Spring

I'm also planning to participate in the Shore ripper series and maybe some of the Cap Forest Super D's. Both sound like low stress, high fun events.....

Peace!
EB
