Great looking bike....but ditch those tyres. Man I hate those things. Never been on the dirt more than when I ran those for a few weeks last year. grrrrr....stinking Bulldogs...

Welcome, btw, to 'the club'.

:nono: Those are Spider USTs and they are perfect for around here (ATL).

Looks good. The silver fork works nicely.

Now trade that C-Dale for a Ciclón and you will be set! ;)

Ahhh the Spiders...my mistake then. I just had such a horrendous time on the Bulldogs that I saw the HUTCHINSON on the sidewalls and had a knee jerk reaction.:madman: :skep:

C'Dale? Who me? None of those in my quiver. Just an El Salt, La Bruja, and a Cuervo too. Then an Argon road bike...but no C'Dales here.

Simply Beautiful

The El Toro will be my next bike. Your El Toro plus components is how I want to build mine. Do you like your Reba fork? How does it ride? Is the frame stiff but not brutally so?

Very nice El Toro. I will probably not own an Aluminum HT again but the Ventana HTs are among the most appealing ouside of custom steel. I also like the geared version.

How much does that bike and frame weigh? I bet it's pretty light. I used to have a X-5 in that color.

Already getting the parts together

I'm strongly considering taking off some of my components on the Heckler and moving onto a new El Toro. So far I have the rear wheel done (Mavic 717 disc w/ CK ISO rear disc), saddle, handlebars, stem, avid disc brakes, tires, CK headset, pedals. All I need to get is a front wheel made and some cranks and BB and a seatpost and the frame. It's all a matter of time.

Nice looking bike!

Which DT tubeless kit did you end up using on your 4.2d's? Was it the kit for the 4.1d's? Or was it the one made especially for the 4.2d's (which seem to be vaporware...)

Also - you can remove that chainstay protector. With a singlespeed, the chain shouldn't be able to move enough to hit the chainstay.

I used 4.1d's. I put about 200 miles so far and have no problem with them.
I took the chainstay protector off. Thank you :)

Update: I also put R7 w SPV 80mm just to try before convert REBA to 85mm. Like 80mm a lot, climb better and quicker handling.
