i got looking at my mom's old bike from walmart, and noticed she has Kenda tires on it...then, i got looking at my old bike, and lo and behold, it also has kenda tires. i got thinking maybe i hit a gold mine here...think they're worth slapping on my gary fisher, or are they on par with the shimano drivetrains that walmart spec'd back then?

Aren't most tires made by Chen Shing Tire (CST) anyway?
Kenda and CST are two VERY separate and unrelated companies. Both make tires of all levels and for many other brands.

Bucksaw, the Kendas on your mom's bike are low end, entry level OEM tires that would retail for ~$6.
