I've never ridden this trail, or the area... hell, I've lived here all of 2 months. Anyone know what i should expect for trail conditions right now?
Anyone interested in riding tomorrow? Casual ride, nothing killer.

Walker handles moisture better than almost any other trail around so it won't be "muddy". It might be soft, it might be completely snowed in. The snow might be packed down and grippy, it might be deep and a PITA. We all love Walker Ranch but riding it in snowy conditions first time out might not give you a very accurate impression of it.

Lots of climbing, lots of descending...real fun in the summer.

well i made it up there today... it was cold and windy. Decided to try the trail counter clockwise. The downhill into the valley was great! but once i made it past the wooden bridge the snow got a little too deep. I decided to make te push back up the hill and call it a day. Talk about burn in the lungs! This flat-lander need to get out more.

The drive up there is just as much fun as the bike ride!

Certain parts of walker see little or no sun in the winter. those are also the worst mud areas.

On low snow years it can open up early but it needs warm days. Must have been mid May last year when it got back to true form.
