My parents are moving to the Wakeforest area soon and was wondering is it worth bringing a bike. Is there much riding close by. If so is it any good? Thanks for any info.

The town of Wake Forest or the University (which is in Winston-Salem, about 1.5 hours west of the town of Wake Forest)?

Do bring your bike!!
Lots of good trails in the area.
The website mentioned above will give you all the trails.
Closest to Wake Forest is Beaverdam and New Light. (About 15 minutes)
Both are on the shore of Falls Lake and are both pretty good.
Post on the triangleMTB site if you are looking for someone to show you these trails (and other ones that may or may not be officially listed on the site)
