So after 3k miles of indoor riding I came to the realization that maybe I shouldn't have my gravel bike set to the 700c road setting. Does anyone have theirs set to 650b mountain?

The different settings should level it out more, but since I also have a Kickr Climb and a 122 year old house I can't level anything. I do know that my normally comfy Cambium suddenly feels weird.

Or ride outdoors?

I live in MN and it was -20F this morning. My record is -28F, but that kind of riding is much different than indoor training.

Couldn't you level it with pieces of wood?
It's on a rocker plate, so no. Also I wouldn't shim it if the wheel diameter could be met more closely with a setting on the Kickr vs chunks of wood under the 4 spots feet on which it rests.

Currently set at mtb 650b, which essentially raises the rear of the bike.
Ahh... I get it now... when set for 700c the front axle was lower than the rear. I find that I am far more successful on the trainer, especially for longer ride (>2 hrs) with it the other way round, the front axle elevated. But it sounds like you couldn't do that.... this is an interesting adjustment I've not seen before.

I also have the Climb and some times it appears to have a mind of its own as to where 0% should be. I keep a tape measure handy now and measure the front and rear thru axles to make sure it is level (mainly when using ERG mode).

The 650b setting was a bit better. I only noticed it after starting a workout plan that requires more sitting than I typically do. Also on some dumb pedaling drill workout it said 'hold one leg off to the side and only pedal with the other' and I realized I could touch the ground while still pedaling.

Still need to measure axle heights and readjust my saddle angle.

I'm running my bike on the 700cc setting on my Kickr and using a CycleOps (front) wheel block with 3 heights. A wheel block may be another option for your set up. The different heights are helpful on different courses (flats vs climbs vs rolling hills vs tempo rides, etc.).
