Front D design doesn't bode well in muddy conditions, can't shift to small chain ring with comfort.

Will upgraded to an xt FD solve this issue, the current design collects mud like crazy.

Anyone else have this prob.

Try something like this...it stops a LOT of mud and crud from fouling up your front mech and rear shock. I cut it out of an old EVA footpad off my windsurfer and attached it with ziplock ties to the frame. I have been using this mudguard for a year now, no problems.

Thanks, good pics, couldn't open before , don't know why.

I will rig something, no matter how I set the front d it wont shift properly to the small ring in muddy conditions.

How you like the trail bear tires, I just ordered some ritchey z max.

Love the Trailbears.. I find them really grippy in just about everything..

NB : Another option for the mudguard would be an old rubber mousepad..
