I am about to buy an 05' VP Free from a private seller, it has all the goods on it for the shore 888s, DHX5, avid, etc etc.
But…...all the pivot points on the frame are noticeably loose, when you pick the bike up from the seat you can feel movement. I've done a bit of googling on the subject and have found that the bearings do need replacing fairly regularly. I am just not sure if the pivots being loose (I’ve herd of squeakiness which is also happening) is a standard symptom for the bearings needing replacement, or if there's a bigger problem with the pivots/bike.
