Vorsprung Secus vs DSD Runt concepts?

I'm curious about the idea behind these and enjoy figuring things out so here we go.

It seems to me that these two products are essentially trying to create a more linear spring rate. It seems like they are approaching it from the opposite end of the spectrum.

The Runt basically is adding midstroke support to what would otherwise be too soft a pressure without a Runt. The lower pressure improves small bump sensitivity while the Runt IFP adds midstroke support.

The Secus on the other hand seems like it is focused on increasing small bump sensitivity by modifying the negative spring. By improving the small bump sensitivity, you can run higher pressure to achieve better midstroke support but still retain the initial small bump sensitivity.

Does that sound roughly correct? Obviously there's a ton of details left out, but I think I'm starting to wrap my head around it.

The secus is doing a bit more then that, they are also managing the ramp up from the air trapped in the lowers. It's more complicated then you'd think from the outset. That being said, they are trying to fix similar symptoms and rider complaints/issues to a degree.

Yep,
I'm very oversimplifying, just to wrap my head around the broad strokes first.
I have run a Secus since release. I loved it so much on my Fox 36 I installed one on my Pike. It does what its advertised to do. I don't have any experience with the Runt..

Runt and similar systems do increase mid-stroke support as much as you want but the improvement in small bump sensitivity is minor.
