Hi all,

I'm going to buy someone's 04 Slider. How do I tell if it's really an 03 or 04. Is there something that distinguishes the different years?
How close can you look at it?
The 03 TPC ones will have a compression knob on the top of the damper leg but the SPV ones will have an airvalve in the centre of the topcap. There's also the difference in travel (150 vs 170) but that'll be hard to pick unless you could put them side by side or do some prior measuring.

From sellers photos the differences could be hard to spot.

Exactly my worry on the travel :-( Am I really getting 6" or 7"? But your answer helps tremendously. There is an air valve on top of the leg. So if you're correct, it's the 04. Thanks for the help.
