We see these guys a lot here on the Connecticut River in the winter. First time I've caught 2 of them sitting together though. I work at a powerplant, and the Eagles were watching our discharge (discharge is warm water, which keeps the ice away and also attracts the fish). Soon after the photo they each caught themselves a nice meal.

Very cool. I have seen 2 bald eagles near my area that have come back the past several years to have babies near the river. The nest is huge and the adult birds are even bigger when you see them in flight.
Recovering Majestic

Bald Eagles are recovering in the U.S., let us hope that it is an indication of a trend toward recovery of other precious species that are in danger of extinction.

Thanks for posting up a pic of these magnificent birds.
Very cool. I've only seen a Bald Eagle in person once in my life, and it was in flight.
We have a couple that live where I work. They are such majestic animals.
Cool picture.

My Mom used to live on the Connecticut River up in far Northern NH.
Nice!!

Nice pic..thanks for the post.
Sweet. The comeback they've made has been fantastic. Very cool birds.
Awe, isn't that nice? They're living off the fish living off your effluent. They're big carrion too.

I love spending time in awe.

Great office view.

We get to watch them here in upstate NY tooling around the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge ...such majestic & powerful creatures.

Very cool. The last ride I remembered to take my camera on, I stopped for a break and realized I was being watched. Caught this guy getting some grand ideas about lunch 15 feet away. Yours still wins of course. That's an awesome shot!

From one end of the country to the other. I was outside today and looked up to see 2 bald eagles soaring over the Boise river looking for a snack. Magnificent birds!

Mark
flyingsuperpetis, the one in your pic looks like me when I wake up...

Great shots by the way.

A few I took a few years ago in WA

We had a pair that lived on the Air Station. Not quite sure how they didn't get hit by a jet, but they were there every year.

I've got one more on another hard drive of an eagle on some rocks in the snow. Got fairly close and the 300mm lens did the reast. I have it framed and hanging on my wall.
