I am comming from New Jersey.... visiting friends in the Pinehurst area ....can you folks recommend some trails in the area. I don't want beginner, nor do i really want any extremely muddy conditions. Other than that i am looking to ride a couple hours a day for about 3 days or so sometime in Sept. Any help in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks

Closest trails that would meet your requirements would be SanLee and Governor's Creek trails in Sanford. A little further away with more elevation and a longer ride would be the Wood Run trails in Uwharrie National Forest. The Sanford trails and Supertree and Keyauwee at Wood Run can be found under the trail reviews section of this site. All but Gov. Creek drain well and are rideable shortly after it rains.

Ditto what Bill C. Said (those old guys are well informed :D ). I just wanted to add that I live about 10 minutes from San Lee and would be glad to meet you if the schedule works out. Shoot me a message or reply here when you know your ride schedule.

Gov's is a better trail, but as Bill said, San Lee drains better. Uwharrie probably the best of those mentioned, but just a lot further for me.
As usual, I will highly recommend that you take the time to travel to Pisgah if you can. It's not that far and is some of the finest riding in the nation. Drive to Brevard, stay overnight, go to Sycamore Cycles, ask them for directions- that's all you need to do for a truly great day! Peace
thanks for the suggestions folks ...i will have to check thoes places out ...when i get my schedule worked out a little better i might take u up on your offer bmateo...Thanks!!
