Ahhh, another busy sunday.
But at least this time we managed to lift our asses and go riding early enough to escape the worst heat on the going up part (the temps are up in the nineties right now during the day).
This must be a perfect summer ride: a steady and very mellow grade takes you through the woods, protected from the summer sun almost all the way up (it only opens up from time to time to offer some stunning views of the Alps showing their fangs) to a height of about 3500ft to the Vojsko plateau, where the air is pleasantly cool so lack of shadow is not a factor anymore.
The plateau itself is not level, it goes up and down in short bursts, but except for a couple of miles it's totally devoid of asphalt.
And the descent past the Peršjak fall is one of the sweetest singletracks in the region. It's not technical at all, actually in the most part it's a smooth strip winding through the woods. But it is very exposed on a few sections, so it's better for the faint of heart to walk the walk ;) Oh yeah, and the fall is a right looker
All in all (with various stops and icecream :) ) the ride took us about 6 hours to complete, not really a days' work worth, but close enough

It was.But then again, it's always a blast when you're out there on your bike with some friends...
