more on Moreau

approx. 15 minutes south of LG Village. Highly recommend the map available at the camp ground, mostly intermediate/expert, lots of climbing.

Beyond that, there's some fun stuff on the east side of the lake, Shelving Rock/Sleeping Beauty Mt area. Again, maps highly recommended.

Big Hollow Rd. just on the north end of the village is a tough climb up a jeep trail to the top of Prospect Mt., loose rocky rooty etc.

Interesting stuff on the east side of the lake around Shelving Rock/Hogtown trails area. Big climbs, scenic veiws, technical riding, could probably spend an entire day there if you are very fit. I can't really recommend a route as I have not ridden there in about 4 years. However, the Shelving Rock "Big Loop" was pretty fun then and qualifies for one of the epic rides in that area.

For insurance reasons, among others, the Smba trails are members only. Unfortunately day pases aren't yet allowed by the land owners/managers. Memberships can easily and cheaply be found here.... http://www.saratogamtb.org/

Hundreds of trail work hours are spent every year by riders like us, and for that, we have one of the best trail networks in Eastern Ny.
