I'm looking at setting up a vintage CODA Magic crank off my old bike for my son. I like the idea of re-purposing a crank that treated me well, and was pretty impressive at that time, and having my son enjoy it.
It was a 3x and I'm looking to convert it to a 1x. Ideally, I'd like to do a 28-30t but the BCD, I believe, is 110. I think my options are limited as for the smaller size. He is going to be using it riding around the neighborhood but also XC riding. I am going to put a SRAM X01 clutch derailleur on it so I'm not sure if I really have to worry about a narrow-wide chain ring.
Anyone ideas and/or pictures of what you have done, if similar, would be appreciated.
