Loved the video Steve. What was that trail name? I'm planning on going up there next month and that looks like about just what I was looking for.

Several trails

They are several trails linked together and the start and finish are about 40 miles apart so you would have to self-shuttle. Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) from Mt. Rose, south down The Flume Trail and fireroad to Spooner Lake, 1.5 miles on pavement to Spooner Summit, and then the TRT to Kingsbury Grade.

It's the helmet cam

Hmmmm, looks like someone's skills are improving :) Looks like you had some great light that day. Makes me want to make a return trip there.
It's the helmet cam! I really am a much better rider while wearing the helmet cam because I take more chances for "arts sake". Ironically, however, the tough stuff never really shows very well anyway. Lighting worked out perfectly, clear blue skies for the Flume and when the thunderclouds moved in later on they got rid of the shadows in the forest.

I'm pretty happy with the 640x360 WMV format. You should come up and join the A+ group on the mega ride from Spooner to Toads on the 22nd.

Nice video Steve, beautiful scenery.

Plus I never thought we would see the day when Steve would be passing up and schooling his actors out on the trail. ;) :D

Just wish the Windows Media Encoder was a little crisper. Throw in more bushes and the brush can get real cloudy.

Worked well for your video.

Great video, (as always) Wherewolf! Did you ever think about adding Lower Third/Title Card during the videos to intro each trail? Or do you cross so many different trails in a typical ride that this would be a Heap o' Work?

In any case, thanks for posting these, very inspirational.

I don't get fuzzy bushes because I don't go as fast as you :D
We'll see what happens at Downieville this weekend. I've hit 30 mph on one of those downhills.

Adding titles only takes a few seconds but the video is often not linear so too many would have to be added.

I'm about 1800 miles away from that trail, but I will ride it one day! That's awesome. I was a bit startled to see that rider headed up the trail. I'm not exactly sure I'd want to be surprized by someone around a blind bench cut corner. Looks like a rather nasty fall if you were to leave the trail at speed.
