Very interesting video however I would be hesitant in drawing conclusions about this might apply to the general population of riders. I assume Peaty's ability to 'adapt' to bikes from the era he won WC overall far exceeds most riders.

Geo is by far the biggest factor here. Just wider bars and ditching those DH tubes would cut time. Match geo too and people would be shocked. Now you know why the industry never posted objective data on DH times during the wheel war years. Actually bikeradar did a test where 26" was faster than 27 and 29 on the DH sections. 29 was faster over all but those 26'er DH segments being fastest didn't go over well. So funny how people dismissed that study because it didn't line up with their conformation bias.

Let's remember history: Ratboy took his first win ever on the last 26'er V10 against all the new 650b's. Clementz took the first EWS title on a discontinued 26'er against all the new 650b's and plenty of 29'ers. Graves was on track to win second year of the EWS on a discontinued 26'er before Yeti pulled the last 26'er from competition.

Not yet but I just got a Turkish prison vacation conformation email from Expedia.

To set the tone they will show one movie and one movie only in a loop on the plane in the traditional Ludovico Technique to set the perfect mood for this once in a lifetime vacation.

I will be picked up by my own personal guard who will make certain I will do arrive at the destination and that I get checked in for sure which I think is very nice and thoughtful.
