I took these at about 3 pm today. I haven't seen pictures of this trail anywhere so I thought I would post some up. I took these with my dslr and it wasn't fun lugging it around. It barely fit in my camelback. Next time I will take my wife's point and shoot camera. This trail isn't too difficult, it is 1.8 miles one way, (and 1.8 on the way out of course). It is fun enough though. Good way to kill 45 min.

I didn't know there were any trails in Verrado. We had some good single track on my side of Buckeye a few years ago,but most of it was lost in the new housing developments and the arrival of WalMart.Yeah progress!
Looks great, how many miles are out there?

Edit: Nevermind...I should read your post and not just look at the pretty pictures
Secrets out.

where is da trailhead?

Thats cool, Myself and a few others have big plans for that area... well northwest of watson rd. we were going to start cutting trail next week. Where is that trailhead? From the pictures i can see where it is headed, it would be cool to link up with what we have planned. Pm me if you want in on the new trail work.

Also, a while back there was a post telling of verrados disapproval with some trail out there. is this that one?

cant wait to check it out, the WV has got a ton of killer trails and its gettin better every day!

Rock rock:thumbsup:

Yes this is true. The DMB of Verrado actually told the ones building the trails to stop and only maintain what they have completed. I was the one who originally posted up about the trailhead and one of the builders pm'd me what was going on. It definately has good potential out there.

The current trailhead starts at the end of Lost Creek Dr. Follow the dirt road as it turns to the North, follow it until you see a stretch of sidewalk on the west side of the road and follow the single track from there.

Cool!

Thanks for the tip. i am going to go check that out, looks cool. There is good potential north of watson, i think i have found some land that atv's and motorcycles cant get to and where nobody will shoot at you, and as far as i know it is not private land. Buckeye has enough bikers and needs its own trails. If it starts to pan out i may post up some trail work days.

Cheers-Jim
Looks like Fantasy Island North 2. I wish we could do something similar near Vistancia.

I got of early and started to head over there. What kind of tires would work best? Where to park and all that? It looks prety tame however.
