Ventan Powder Coat (in house?)

I was wondering if the wonderful Ventana paint jobs are all done in house, or where they have the service done?

The reason I ask, is because I have yet to paint my custom steel DJ/FR hardtail, that I made for myself after a painstaking amount of time and effort. I think it deserves a good paint, and I think the "superdust" would be bommer. What do you guys think? The HT gussets, H badge, and stay caps are all stainless so I kind of wanted to tape those and just clear coat them.

They use a guy in the North Bay Area (Livermore I believe) and they have always shared that info if you call them. (Email server crashed again).

Not cheap BTW.

Pretty hot, you say you built that thing yourself? Do all the welding and everything? I would love to have those skills, or at least access to a welder and time to break stuff to develop them. Care to share the tale of welding up your first frame?

I wonder why people keep calling it "paint", especially when they know it's powder coat.
Same reason folks call chain wear "stretch".
ha ha powder.. paint.. potato tomato.. same diff. Not as bad as today when I sent someone pics of my easton RAD hardtail and they responded "Is that steel?"

Yeah, I did the design and welding with help from my friend who was also in the welding program. I had to build a jig first, and that was a far more dedicated project. I made it adjustable in every aspect, except the stays are set at 16.5.

Im hoping for a TIG welder for xmas, but my doubts are high.
