Good afternoon everyone, my name is Lee Unwin I'm old to the race seen but new to this forum scene. I wanted to share my quick story. I took last year away from being fully sponsored so I could look for a really great company to work with. I am very happy to say that my first choice became my last choice. The guys over at VDS build beautiful bikes but they are also the guys that pick up the phone when you have questions which is hard to find these days. I will be racing as their factory 24 hour racer next year both single speed rigid and FS. I have raced on 26" for years, but am very excited about going to 29 this year. Hope to see you all out there soon.

To me it just seems like one of those shaky gray areas. You really want people from all levels to participate, and it's great to get details and stuff from a factory rider (since a lot of us will never brush shoulders with them anywhere else). At the same time you know their job is to make their sponsors happy--preferably by helping to sell more bikes.

But, If Lee would have posted and mentioned the bikes he would be riding *without* posting pics/specs I think someone would have immediately asked for more details and gotten the pics/specs anyway

So, not that it matters to anyone else at all, I'm looking forward to more posts from Lee. It'll be interesting to hear about his transition to 29".

Also, I may be naive but it seems to me that the moderators, including Cloxxki, do a pretty good job of walking that line--not an easy task.

If you have a real complaint about a post, then PM the senior Mods and explain why.

Actually, MTBR has an ignore feature: go to "User CP" and then "Buddy/Ignore Lists"

Very handy feature for certain posters :thumbsup:
