I'm not sure if this belongs in the wheels section or here (because it is such a nooby question), but I have never replaced a tire and I am looking into replacing the Bontragers that came with my bike. I was curious as to whether the valves shown in the picture of the tires mattered. For example, my tires have Shrader valves and the tires pictured have Presta valves. Sorry, but thanks for the help.

Oh, sweet. I was ninety nine (99) percent sure, but I didn't want to spend money and then be dissatisfied with my purchase. Thanks so much!

The type of tube you need depends on the rim, not the tire. If your rims now are set for schrader , you can use schrader or presta with a rubber insert to drop the size. If your rims are presta, you'd have to drill them out to go with a schrader . I'd just stick with whatever you have now. The tire won't care.
