I am in the process of building up my new covert and am having trouble working out the rear cable route. I realise the cable is supposed to run down the left side of the frame, then across the down tube to the right side and then into the chainstay hole.

But...what is the correct routing in the BB area. I seem to be having trouble geting the cable outer to clear the chainrings (i'm running a SLX double BTW with one spacer on the drive side.). I have tried coming over the down tube from the left side then under the BB and into the chainstay, using the iscg tabs to hold the cable away from the chainrings but this puts some sharp bends in the cable that i want to avoid.

My next thought was to tape the cable to the chainstay bridge but i just wanted some feedback from fellow covert owners on the correct way to do it before i go any further.

Maybe someone could post a few pics of their way of doing the cable route?

You can see a clip of the covert's cable routing on the transition website. go to the gallery and under videos find how to. then click the replace bearing video. From 1:19 -1:25 there is a speedy shot of the cable routing. I think Scuch's words make sense but this might help you too!
