Uwharrie conditions

Planning to head to Uwharrie Wood Run system on Saturday. I haven't been there in a few months so wondering if anyone rode there in the last week or so could report on the conditions, anything new?

OK at Christmas

I rode it for the first time the day after Christmas and it was in great shape given the amount of rain on Christmas. Fun little network down there.

Are they really going to build those proposed additions?

I have never ridden Uwharrie. How far from Charlotte is it? Would it be worth the drive from Spartanburg to explore sometime?

I really like these trails. Nice flow, a bit of a Pigah feel minus the long climbs. Add miles by also doing the Badin Lake trails on the same trip.

Uharrie is good to go all the time. It drains well, the worst is the double track/fire roads between the trails. Do the loops/trails in both directions to get 30 something miles.
I am thinking about it on Sat myself....
