Looking for some opinions on UST Tires.

Me : 190lbs, ride fairly technical rooty/rocky terrain, some drops, sharp steep climbs, ranges between very sandy to very muddy (clay type mud).

Currently, I'm running the Conti Vertical Pro UST front and rear on Mavic x819 rims. They seal like crazy, have not lost any air in the past few months since I got them.

They do seem to wash out a bit on the dry stuff especially when dropping down steep stuff where there is anything but a straight line, and slide around a bit on the wet stuff. It might be that I just need to get my pressure right. Currently running about 35psi rear/32psi front. Having run tubes for so long, maybe I'm just not dropping my pressure low enough?

Anyhow, if anyone has any suggestions for alternatives, I'd love to hear them. Also, don't want to go with anything more narrow than a 2.3.

Thanks

Not for clay mud. The edge knobs with just hold on to all the muck they touch.

I would go for the Spider if you will not change tires for muddy conditions.

I don't see clay much so I wouldn't know...
