Using V Brakes on 2008 XTC Carbon

Hi all,

Bit stuck so hoping someone may be able to help.

I have just swapped all my kit to a new anthem x (boy am I loving it!!!) and I am trying to build up my 2008 XTC carbon frame with old kit I have.

The frame has V brake bosses but using the normal studs the brakes will not fit and it looks like some kind of different boss/adaptor is needed to raise them away from the frame. I have tried both Avid's and XTR with no luck.

I also have a Alloy XTC frame and is looks quite different on there.....like they are further away from the frame by around 1/4" and fit fine.

Am I being stupid or is there something I'm missing??
