I have two avid juicy seven brakes (front and rear) and I love them. After many years riding its time to service the callipers until I noticed the cost. Boy what a price nearly £30 per brake.

My question… is there any difference between the juicy callipers ie 3,5,7,ultimate as I have seen kits for different ones but the contents all look the same apart from the price. Also ive noticed the hayes callipers look very similar to the juicy, does anyone know if these will fit? As I would prefer not to get ripped off.

so does that mean that the ultimate caliper piston wont fit the juicy 7 caliper? and that the hayes is totally the wrong size.

I thought all avids were meant to take the same standard parts now? so why do some kits cover all and others jst one?

The 5, 7, and Carbon are the same. The J3 is different. The JUltimate is different. The Hayes is definitely different.
