hi all

First post so be nice :)

I have just got a Fox AVA for my ellsworth ID. The spacers were supplied with the shock but as fitted they are the wrong way round. i.e the air chamber is at the bottom the piston bar is at the top. All the writing is upside down too. this is the other way round to my Romic. Is it OK to run like this or should I re fit the spacers an mout the other way round

thanks

My Titus Switchblade uses a Fox Float rear shock mounted "upright" with the standard rear rocker arm. With the longer travel rocker arm it requires a Fox Float with longer stroke which is intentionally mounted "upside down", and works just fine. Based on that I am guessing that you will be alright, but I will be interested to hear from others.

Doesn't Matter

The seals in my Float RL went out two weeks ago. No warning-they just went. I suspected that it was due to my shock being inverted - shock body on bottom. In my head this would dry out the slider (my head thinks things)...

So I called fox and they are sending me new seals - and I made a point to ask if the shock position had anything to do with it.

They said you can mount it any way you want.

Just to let you all know Ellsworth emailed back to say it can go either way, this was about 10 minutes after I swappet it round! Mind you it is easier to get to the dials with it the right way up and it just looked "wrong" upside down.
