NOTE: If you don't like skinny-tired bikes, off-topic posts, taciturn yankees, or lakes, stop reading now. If none of those things bother you, read on.

Just back from vacation at the family camp in Vermoooont. Spent the first 2 days opening it for the season. A bit chilly and damp....

Day 4, quick lake check and a bike ride.

Arrive back to find the house still there

And the lake too.

Day 5, watch the lake AND the kids. Will it never end?

Day 6, another bike ride, with not one, not two, but THREE cemeteries! You might start noticing the other theme to these rides -- the anti-roadie folks can bite me. ;)

And of course the lake. Wouldn't be a vacation without the lake. My assistant needed a closer look in fact. Just to be sure.

Thought I'd forgotten to check on the lake in the evening, didn't you? Ha! Fat chance.

Day 8, what is it with this damn lake? Will it never go away? A ride is clearly in order. Its amazing what you can do on a road bike. And where the hell is my canoe going?

Day 9, last day :( and a day for cleaning up. But first, a pic of the lake.... ;)

What are you thinking?

Skinny tires and beautiful lake picutres. Get off my mtb forum. Oh yah it's not mine.

Nice Pictures Wooglin! Looks like a good time was had by all. I can't imagine it was all that bad to not be in Cola when it was only 99 degrees! Where is my cool weather.

Great pics!
Day 10...posting pics on this forum.

Run over to Lake Murray and get a day 10 lake shot.

You're just jealous because all my bikes have bigger wheels than yours....

From what I hear that was the first non-rainy week up there in weeks. Then yesterday it apparently hit 95 and now everyone is *****ing about that. :D

Rumor has it she ran off with a younger man....

That's actually one of the best maintained old cemeteries I've ever seen. I think that monument replaced a bunch of monuments that were too trashed to salvage. Lots of others were repaired.

Its Lake Fairlee. About 30 miles up river from where 89 crosses the Connecticut into NH.
Nice Pics. I love old cemeteries, they tell stories !
