I have a HiFi Deluxe (08) and plan on putting on a Chris King Headset, Thomson stem (with 0 degree rise as opposed to the 5 stock) and some Easton carbon bars with the medium rise. Has anybody upgraded these components before on a HiFi and had experiences that are good/bad?

I'm trying the reduced rise to keep the front end from being so easy to lift while climbing. Technique has helped a lot, but I was hoping for a little more help.

Have the pretty much the same exact set-up in mind for my Roscoe (Thompsom 0 degree stem, Easton EA70 MonkeyBar, with ODI Rogues).

Only, headset-wise, I have an E2 tapered tube.
Would like to have a King set, but don't know if it's possible.
