I have a transition db and I am in the process of up-grading some parts and changing the appearance of the bike. First I will need new disk brakes...mine are s**t and I need a good, cheap pair of hydro's. The db is a green 06' with white lettering,so I wanted to buy some white parts as well. as far as white parts, they are not necessary but here's some stuff I found...

And just some juicy 5's wasn't really sure...kinda want something cheaper...need your help!

So, if you have any suggestions for disk brakes or other white (non-expensive) cosmetic parts feel free to leave them. Thanks:thumbsup:

just spend the cash on some higher end brakes and you will be much happier than if you try to save some money.

Brakes are the one area that I will NEVER skimp on. forsake all the frivolous white parts and get some quality functional parts.. such as some avid codes...

Get the new hayes... they come in white
spend the cash, get the avids, i would if i could do it over again. i run hayes and they arent as good as even the juicy 7s.

the strokers are supposed to be nice, though.

Why don't you buy parts that perform well instead of one's that will be fashionable on your rig...?

Pricepoint has Juicy 7's on sale for $120 a piece, bringing you to $240 a set. Nice deal should you ask me. I ran Juicy 7's for several years and they have been a top notch performing brake.

Avoid Hayes. I refuse to run Hayes, ever. I hated my Nines, Mags are overrated, and El Camino's fall apart on their own. As for Strokers...I'm not even touching those.

if you want the best brakes

get magura gustavs, avid code or saints. Gustavs are the most powerful brakes you can buy, They are a bit heavy buy I have not bleed my gustavs in 18 months and they still have lost nothing in performance. I have saints on my free ride bike and though they are not as strong as gustavs they have been great brakes. I have riden a couple of bikes with codes and I have been impressed with how they are built and feel though I confess I like my gustavs and saints better. Brakes are where you spend money because if they fail you are sol.
