I have an 06 Rogue with the older seatstay / chainstays running the old 12mm thruaxle with a 200mm long bolt. It's pretty heavy. I asked Kevin at Ellsworth about upgrading to the rear end that is offered on current Rogues. The newer Rogue rear ends can be run with a 12mm thru or a QR, are lighter and stiffer. They are asking $654 for the rear stays (or $523 with trade-in), which is still a good chunk of change. Is it worth it?

How much weight savings you gain with new chainstay compared to V1?
I have custom made aluminium axle and it is 115g lighter than original steel bolt.

Yes, I know. I have also considered buying another Rogue frame off ebay (they are selling for around $1200-1300) and then selling my older frame (I think I can get $800-1000). It may end up cheaper than paying $650 for just the rear triangle.
