I am looking to upgrade or actually get a new bike this fall or winter. I ride my Jekyll on mostly cross-country trails and enjoy launching off of rocks but I don't do many large drops, 3 ft. I weigh 205 and would like to find something that is really between cross-country and all mountain. My price range is from 1500-2000. Any suggestions?

Seriously, though, I think you're going to wind up spending more money to get the same thing, unless I'm not recalling the specs on the Jekyll.

I am looking to replace the Jekyll. I have the 600 disc and it was 1300.

I guess my point is that I thought the Jekyll IS an AM-XC type bike. Why do you want to replace it? More, or less travel? Heavier or lighter? Just don't like it?

The Jekyll is a pretty nice bike IMO. And since you already own it, it's well within your budget.

 

[Hardtails Are Better]

I'm with notrelatedtoted here. Sounds to me like you'd end up spending a lot of money for not much of an upgrade. Maybe a few nice parts for your Jekyll might make more sense.
