hi everyone. i have been putting a new bike i got thru its paces for awhile now, and im starting to think the stock fork is holding the bike back. its a 2010 hardrock disc, 19". i am 6'2 and about 200 with backpack. i dont know if you are supposed to, but you cant feel any damping goin over and thru stuff. just spring. lots of a "stiction" feeling...like it kinda chatters its way thru the stroke. im used to dirtbikes and street stuff that you can feel a lil plushness. what would a good replacement be thats proportionate to this bike. i was thinking of adding a lil damping to the steering by gettin 100mm travel instead of the stock 80mm. the stock fork is a sr suntour xct-v2 sf8. does this thing even have oil in it?, lol.

i would say up to about 250 or so. a lil more if i really had to. i do a lil bit of all kinds of riding...pavement, trails, hardpack...i guess a lockout would be nice when im on the road. thats good you say its about one degree, thats probably a good lil adjustment to help with the higher speed bumps
