I am debating to upgrade my Talon, and I want to get some opinions. I was going to sell it and my son's Talon. My son just wanted to upgrade his 2017 Talon 2, so we experimented with it. We upgraded the fork on my son's 2017 Talon 2 to a Rockshox Recon. New tires and grips come in on Tuesday for his. Just adding the fork to his, made a huge difference. Can't wait to see the tires.

I bought my bike for $500. It came with a dropper post and a 1X9 conversion with a Raceface 30T. I am thinking of an SLX 1X11 with a Sunrace 11-46 cassette. Fork wise, I am debating on RockShox Gold or going with a Cane Creek adapter and Fox 32 or something like that at either 100 or 120 mm. Also,I was thinking of 2.4 more aggressive tires. Also, an upgrade for the brakes would be needed down the line.

My option is to do all that or a San Quentin 2 and add a dropper post. I think a San Quentin 3 is a little more aggressive than what I need.

Just want to see what you all think.

Edit: Got San Quentin 3 on order :)
